This is a call out to members that have been out to the PCSC claims in the calendar year of 2024. The BLM requires a statement of Annual Assessment Work, as part of the annual filings for our claims.
The required information is:
- 1. The name of the claim.
- 2. Description of work performed.
- 3. Value of work performed. and the number of hours worked.
- (I value my work at $20/hr.)
- 4. Date the work was performed.
- 5. Name and address of person performing the work.
Here is a description of the type of work that will fulfill the requirements.
Claimants requesting a small miner’s waiver from paying the annual maintenance fee must perform assessment work and spend a minimum of $100 in labor or improvements on each claim… The assessment work must be performed within the period defined as the assessment year. Assessment work includes, but is not limited to, drilling, excavations, driving shafts and tunnels, sampling (geochemical or bulk), road construction on or for the benefit of the mining claim; and geological, geochemical, and geophysical surveys.
If you have collected samples, metal detected, have done drywashing, or have done reclamation (such as filling holes), please respond with the above information.
Joe would like to add the following examples.
“I filled holes for 1 hour” or “I raked rocks and dug down to try to expose valuable minerals”
Thank You,
