Just a heads up. Placer Pete's Oktoberfest registration closes in just 17 days.

The event is free, meals are $10 per meal and the coin Hunt is $20. The recommended contribution to the camp is $45 per person. Of course all contributions are appreciated.

    Steve here from Placer Pete, and I’m thrilled to share some exciting news about our upcoming April event!

    Get ready for an incredible prospecting adventure! We’ll have the amazing opportunity to work in areas with virgin paydirt! This site is just a stone's throw from last year's location, and the entire wash area is opening up. Plus, we’ll gain access to the back of the claim, where an old waterfall and multiple wash areas await—potentially filled with gold!

    If you're eager for a true prospecting challenge, this is your moment! Picture yourself moving rocks, exploring compact soil, and digging into uncharted territory in search of that big gold nugget. Adventure awaits!

    We’ve revamped our schedule to maximize this opportunity. Join us for an interactive prospecting class right at the new property! You’ll have the chance to work alongside seasoned prospecting veterans, learning about the best locations, sampling techniques, and geological insights to help you decide where to dig. Plus, a knowledgeable geologist will be on hand to explain the land's history and answer all your questions about the materials you’ll be working with. We expect this activity to be on Thursday and Friday.

    This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! And if you have the VIP package and arrive on Thursday, you’ll get to dive into these activities early!

    For beginners or those who prefer a more relaxed environment, we’ll still have paydirt available in town, ensuring everyone can join in on the fun.

    As always, Placer Pete will be giving away awesome prospecting equipment through our drawings all weekend long, featuring new gear that hasn’t been seen at Placer Pete before. We’ll also showcase the latest equipment from Royal and Krieger!
