Lost Cell Phone

I remember your detector for sale and that I was over near it at the table with my phone.  Thank you for picking it up.

All of the people you have spoken of have been contacted and none of them has it.  The 'trail' seems to end here.

It would be nice if there is a memory jog to someone but I don't know how to do it.

I was that guy who held the phone up, after I found it at the side table where I was trying to sell my metal detector, and called out if anybody lost their phone. I took it up to the podium/ stage and turned it in either to the secretary of the treasurer or someone else that was up on the podium at the end of the meeting. I would try to contact one of them, or possibly Pres Ray to see if one of them has it. Maybe Steve Karno who mails out the treasure News for the club or Martin Milas have gotten the heads up on where the phone is

I went to the coin hunt and a couple of people remember someone holding the cell phone up in the air and asking if they knew the owner.  They said it had been found on the side table where the metal detector was for sale.  It reminded me of the last time I used it there.  I don't know why I didn't put it in my pocket ... but I didn't.

    Now where could it be?

    Hi, this is Mitchel.

Through a series of circumstances and an effort to get out of the meeting and get ready to drive to Quartzsite, I left my cell phone at the meeting.

    That is my fault.

I was speaking with Ken about areas around Quartzsite and we were looking at the maps on the phone.

Since that time I have contacted nearly everyone who was at the meeting when I left and they don't have the phone.  We have also tried to create a 'chatter' so that if someone has it they can let me know and I will come and get it.

Yesterday I went back to the meeting place (Women's Club) and asked the caretaker.  She did not get a phone from anyone or find one since last Friday.

I'll be at the coin hunt tomorrow.  If I don't find out where it is then I will have to buy a new phone.

I had found the cell phone and turned it into someone on the stage at the end of the meeting. I don't remember who that was that might have been the secretary for the treasure.

This is bothersome, two items lost at one meeting.  Hope it was someone who passed by and saw an opportunity and took those things rather than it being a member.  As for my opinion, as an old Police Sergeant, this is much more than just a coincidence.
