Here is a second chance to enjoy the fresh air of the San Bernardino Mountains just above Big Bear Lake.  I am hosting a Get Together at the new Chief claim. Friday the 25th of August, 2023. The claim produces fine gold.  A recirculatory is recommended as it will be wet.  My Thompson puffer drywasher has been successful by sending the dirt three or more trips through your drywasher. The dirt must not clump. The weather forecast shows some serious rain coming. There is a Gold Cube with 200 gallon water tank at the camping area. We now have a 4x4 track down into the arroyo. Classify to #8 into buckets.  I will be there to truck your buckets to the Camp. The reddish orange dirt has produced a good amount of super fine gold. 

I will host skill based hunt with silver as prizes. A $10 donation will determine the amount of silver awarded.  A potluck on Saturday. Please bring a side dish. Donation based Breakfasts and Lunches Saturday and Sunday. There are High Desert Gold Diggers, GPAA, and Valley Prospectors claims nearby. Contact me for more info. Call if you get lost on the way.  I suggest you call the Highway Patrol to insure the roads are open.  Highway 38 through Redlands is easier if you are towing a trail. Please watch you transmission temps as the fluid turns to varnish at 240 deg. I pull over at 220 deg. At idle it takes 5 minutes to drop below 200. Temps over 200 will reduce the life of your fluids.
